Delete your Padkos account
This page permanently deletes your Padkos account and the personal information held against it. Padkos is operated by Crescent Lifestyle. You do not need the Padkos app installed to use this page.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account afterwards. If you sign up again later you will start with a new, empty account.
This does not cancel your subscription
If you pay for a Padkos subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel that subscription and does not stop you being billed. Apple and Google control those payments, not Padkos.
Cancel it yourself first, in your own store settings:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Padkos → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Padkos → Cancel.
Step 1 — Your mobile number
We will SMS a verification code to the mobile number on the account, so that nobody else can delete it.
Step 2 — Enter the code
Your account has been deleted
Remember to cancel any App Store or Google Play subscription separately — see the notice above. You can close this page.
What is deleted
Everything below is either erased from your account record or the row is removed outright:
- Your first name, surname, mobile number, email address and password.
- Your title, and the push-notification token that identifies your phone.
- Your newsletter subscription and the record of when you subscribed.
- All of your vouchers and coupons, including ones you have already used.
- Your loyalty card, together with any ratings or reviews you left for partners.
- Every message in your Padkos inbox.
- Every classified advert you posted.
- Any one-time PIN codes still outstanding.
- The message text of anything you sent us through Contact Us.
- Your name, date of birth, gender, address, town, contact number and email address on any volunteer application you submitted. The application itself stays on file, with none of your details on it.
- The stored payment receipt data on your subscription records.
- Personal values inside our historical audit log are erased in place, so the log keeps its shape as a record but no longer holds your details.
What is kept, and why
A small record survives so that Padkos can prove the deletion happened and can meet obligations that do not end when an account does. It is reduced, not anonymous — some of it can still be traced back to a person by our rewards partners.
- Your Padkos member number and our rewards partners' reference numbers. Padkos vouchers and dining cashback are supplied by third parties (Randgo and Direct Rewards) who hold their own records under their own privacy policies. Neither offers Padkos an automated deletion call, so removing your data there is a request we make to them by hand — and these reference numbers are the only way to tell them which member to remove.
- Subscription and payment records — the dates, the platform, the status and the transaction rows. South African tax and company law require financial records to be kept for five years. The receipt contents are erased; the fact of the transaction is not.
- The record that you accepted the dining terms, and when. Erasing the evidence that you were shown the caps and exclusions would defeat the reason it is stored.
- The date the account was created, the date it was deleted, and whether it was deleted from the app or from this page. This is the proof of deletion we give to Apple, Google or a regulator if asked.
- Business details on any partner listing you submitted. Those belong to the business, not to you, and the listing outlives whoever sent it in.
- Notes our staff wrote in reply to your enquiries. Your message is erased; the staff-authored response is not.
Other ways to delete your account
If you have the Padkos app installed, you can delete your account from inside it — open the app, go to your subscription page and choose Delete account. It does exactly the same thing as this page.
